FAQs

CBD is short for Cannabidiol, which is one of over 100 naturally occurring compounds (cannabinoids) found in hemp, a strain of the cannabis plant. Like many natural plants, the right variety of hemp can promote everyday wellbeing.

Yes. UK law is very clear on the cultivation, sale, and use of CBD. With the correct licensing and food safety processes and authorisations in place CBD products can be legally produced. So long as the product meets all required legislation and licencing then no licence is required to sell.

CBD is becoming legalised in many
countries around Europe, but we always recommend checking the CBD laws in the country you are travelling to first. Our bottles of oil are suitable for travel, containing 10mg of liquid.

The word “Cannabis” encompasses various strains of plant – the two best known being Hemp and Marijuana. Hemp contains low levels of the psychoactive compound THC, whereas Marijuana can be cultivated to produce very high levels of it. Our products originate as Hemp plants, which are grown specifically for CBD. You can also check our guidance page on this here.

THC stands for Tetrahydrocannabinol, the
psychoactive compound that produces a ‘high’ when consumed. It is cultivated
within the Marijuana plant, and whilst it does occur in some strains of the Cannabis Sativa L plant, it is a legal for cultivation in concentrations of up
to 0.2%. However zero THC is allowed within food products. The Body and Mind Botanicals strain naturally contains zero THC as does the range of products made from this crop.

Yes – all our plants are grown in certified organic farms. We grow our hemp variety of cannabis crops in the Baltic Region and grow exclusively on certified organic soil.

Unlike THC, CBD-rich hemp doesn’t produce the psychoactive effects commonly associated with other varieties of cannabis and marijuana. This makes it legal, safe, and doesn’t give you the ‘high’, allowing you to harness the benefits of CBD while being in complete control.

CBD is a cannabinoid which interacts with the receptors in the human body’s endocannabinoid system. These receptors regulate the body’s essential functions in everyday life, from appetite and
digestion, to sleep and mood. CBD helps these receptors to maintain a
natural balance, which in turn supports mental health and body wellness.

Body and Mind Botanicals products are intended to promote everyday health and wellbeing. They are not to be used to treat, cure or prevent illnesses. As always, you should consult with your doctor before trying any new supplements or medications to ensure that you are safe to do so.

Because we grow and produce everything in house, there are no people in the middle increasing the costs and therefor with
us, you are able to see the true cost of products rather than the inflated costs often seen with other brands. What’s more, we continue to invest in our machinery and processes to further drive down costs and as our costs reduce, so do our prices.

Ashwagandha, an herb used in traditional Ayurvedic medicine, has been studied for its potential effects on testosterone levels. While some studies suggest that ashwagandha supplementation may lead to modest increases in testosterone, the evidence is not conclusive, and more research is needed. Small-scale studies have shown that ashwagandha extract can potentially increase testosterone levels in men, but the studies have limitations in sample size and duration. It's important to consult with a healthcare professional before considering ashwagandha or any other supplements for testosterone-related concerns. Managing stress levels and promoting overall well-being through ashwagandha's adaptogenic properties may indirectly support hormone balance.
